Intellectual Property & Commercialization
Home

The Intellectual Property and Commercialization (IPaC) office is the tech transfer office for Texas A&M AgriLife. Our focus is to help bring Texas A&M AgriLife’s research results to the benefit of the public. We accomplish this by commercially licensing rights to research results to companies that will use, make, and sell products using these rights. We identify and capture the value of the intellectual property (IP) created by AgriLife researchers through patents, PVP, copyrights, trademarks, etc., and then transfer rights in this IP to companies via licensing while maintaining The Texas A&M University System’s ownership to ensure that the A&M System’s interests are protected.
